Imagine to see beyond ‘what is’ to ‘what could be’ and be gritty to turn that vision into reality.
My engineering friends, grit trumps talent and sets us apart. In this evolving AI landscape only GRIT is the human edge. Two P’s that can set us apart:
- Passion
- Perseverance
Data Engineers | Platform Engineers | Data Scientists | DataOps
All, the beautiful thing in this evolving landscape is that you have to literally prepare yourself for every skillset to be successful and that’s where ‘Grit Sets us Apart’.
As you know Perseverance is defined as a continued effort to do or achieve something despite the difficulty. So this ‘P’ is a leading characteristic in grittier individuals and helps them to learn new technical skills and inspires them to grow in new fields.
I agree ‘Life Throws Shit at You’ and It is harder to stay motivated and that’s where second ‘P’, also know as Passion, comes into picture. We have to handle this ‘P’ very delicately because it can be mistaken for “acting emotionally” if we try to fight for what we believe in, and we are not careful with our efforts of achieving it. This ‘P’ is that quality of the GRIT that will make or break our success !
Be passionate about open source frameworks (& technology) because it enhances education and lifelong learning but don’t act emotionally during implementation. Just fail fast, learn fast. Always enjoy learning the new trends that technology is taking to work more efficiently and achieve high growth.
I always compare perseverance and passion with T-Shaped Skills.
Also as per Angela Duckworth, who’s a award winning researcher and a great psychologist, Talent counts once, Efforts Counts twice !
Talent x EFFORT = Skill
Skill x EFFORT = Achievement
I hope you enjoyed the reading.
Thank you,
